The Philosophy
All those things you have to do?
Actually, you don’t have to.
Let me say unequivocally: you do not have to be president of seven clubs, build an app with 10,000 downloads, and simultaneously found a $5 million dollar startup.
You can. And maybe you will. But that doesn’t have to be your thing in order to be good enough: not for your dream university, not for your dream company, and not for yourself.
Turn down the volume.
Each young adult has a distinctive blend of talent and passion that they can alchemize into excellence in their unique-fit field. For each one, there is the thing – if they’re given the space and the support to discover what that is for them.
Turns out, it’s pretty difficult to unlock that potential when there are a million voices telling you about the million different things (varsity athletics and an internship and inventing an app and community service and and and…) you “have” to do in order to be good enough.
Reclaim your time.
Instead, by saying “no” to those million voices, you recapture huge quantities of newfound time and energy that let you cultivate focus, expertise, and confidence.
And those are the precise qualities that will empower you to build your version of the $5 million dollar startup: a bold and creative project that is the surprising yet inevitable product of your particular skills and values.
And lead mindfully.
Through structured and intentional coaching sessions, I help stressed out young adults transform themselves into the confident, driven, and mindful experts that every parent wishes for…and that every college and company would love to have.
